Active black holes release energy and momentum through the accretion process, that is then deposited onto the surrounding gas - a process known as AGN feedback. It is one of the main mechanisms that regulate star formation and the growth of galaxies. My work focuses on improving current prescriptions for AGN feedback in cosmological simulations, focusing on anisotropic, directional feedback coupled to the spin evolution.
